Candid portait of John Wynyard Bartrum, aged about 3 years, on his rocking horse. Probably taken in the garden of his family home at 7 Rewiti Avenue in Takapuna by a family member. John was the eldest child of John Arthur and Constance Bartrum. Historical note: Professor John Arthur Bartrum had a distinguished career in geology, and taught at Auckland University College.
