Formal studio portrait of Captain Don Stott, D.S.O., of Birkenhead, taken some time between 1943-45. Historical note: Donald John Stott was the son of Robert and Annie Stott of Birkenhead, and was educated at Takapuna Grammar. He enlisted in the Second NZ Expeditionary Force in 1939 and served with the 5th Field Regiment NZ Artillery as a sergeant in Greece and then Crete from May 1940 to May 1941.
