A view of the framework construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge's northern anchorage, taken from alongside the contruction at Northcote Point. The road surface was constructed on the upper surface of this framework (where the crane on the left is operating). Reclamation work at Westhaven for the motorway feeders onto and off the bridge at the city end of the bridge began in 1952.
