One of a series of photographs taken from colour slides showing the construction of the Northern Motorway between 1956 and 1959. This image taken from Thorn Hills shows the construction of the Waimana Bridge and motorway interchange at the bottom of Onewa Road, Northcote. Houses are visible at the junction of Sylvan Avenue.
