The official party on the dais at the formal opening ceremony of the Pukekohe stadium, 27 March 1971. The mayor of Pukekohe, Mr C.W.J. Lawrie, is at the microphone. Behind him are Governor General Sir Arthur Porritt and (to far right), Lady Kathleen Porritt. The mayoress Mrs Lawrie is seated to Sir Arthur's right.
