Aerial photograph of part of the Manukau Sports Bowl taken during the latter stages of its construction in 1989. The photograph was taken looking southward towards what was then called Orlando Drive (now part of Te Irirangi Drive). A stretch of the southern motoway is visible to the right. Manukau City Council developed the sports bowl between 1987 and 1989. The Manukau City velodrome (the oval towards the left) was officially opened on 16 September 1989.
