"One of Māngere's oldest residents, Fiahau Lagigie, celebrated her 103rd birthday. More than 200 relations and friends held a party for the great-great-grandmother, known as Fia to her family. Born at Tuapa, Niue, on September 25, 1888, Fia came to New Zealand in 1973 when she was 85 years old. She lived in Auckland for seven years before moving to Wellington in 1980.
