Description

The Lactos Ltd condensed milk factory and the East Tamaki Co-operative Dairy Company Ltd dairy factory beside the Great South Road to the south of Manurewa, May 1960. The Lactos plant was opened in 1936. The East Tamaki Co-operative Dairy Company began the production of casein at its new Manurewa factory in 1948 and had moved the whole of its operations there from East Tamaki by July 1954.
