Description

View of a former ward and administration block in the grounds of the former Kingseat Hospital, at one time housing the Nurses Office and the pharmacy. Kingseat Psychiatric Hospital was opened in 1932. It was largely closed down in 1997, although the secure unit remained on site until 1999. The buildings were sold, and have since then either remained vacant or served a variety of commercial purposes.
