Description

Members of the NZ Army Territorial Force on a training march in Papatoetoe, ca 1939. The platoon is turning into St George Street from the Great South Road. The men are carrying standard-issue Lee Enfield bolt-action rifles with bayonets fixed and wearing traditional lemon-squeezer hats.
