Description

Aviators Rex Nicholl, centre, and Ray Whitehead, right, in front of their Puss Moth 'Faith in New Zealand' at the Auckland Aero Club's Māngere airfield. The pair had just made a cramped and perilous crossing of the Tasman in the single-engined plane. They landed at Doubtless Bay in the early evening of 22 November 1934 and continued on to Māngere the next morning.
