Mr Charles Lupton and his wife Emily in front of their house on the corner of Lupton Road and Selwyn Avenue, Manurewa, 6 June 1930. The photograph was taken on Mr Lupton's 70th birthday. As chairman of the Manurewa Progressive League, Mr Lupton was instrumental in getting the Manurewa public hall (later Manurewa Town Hall) built in 1912.
