Description

View looking southwards along Queen Street, Waiuku, ca 1908. A group of men have gathered outside the Kentish Hotel. The occasion has not been identified, but could possibly be local dignitaries gathering prior to a banquet put on by the Waiuku Railway League for Auckland MPs in March 1908. The gable end of Flexman's building can be seen further along the street, with the two-storey Sedgwick building, latterly occupied by Cave West, across the Bowen Street intersection beyond.
