Description

Night-time shot of the Wiri Trust Hotel ('Wiri Tavern'), Great South Road, March 1975. This shot was taken from a crane on the site of Manukau City Council's administration building, under construction at the time. The hotel had been formally opened on 1 May 1974, and was the first and for some time the only commercial building in the Manukau City Centre area.
