The scene after a three-car accident that took place on the corner of Bairds and East Tamaki Roads on 1 March 1970. Here, onlookers and St John Ambulance personnel attend one of the drivers involved. The old-model truck seen in the photograph came through the intersection of the two roads, collided with the Morris Minor, and spun around to hit another car waiting at the lights.
