Description

A man is sitting on exposed part of the hulk M A Doran which is partly covered by the tide. In the middleground is the Alley family launch 'Dione', and other launches and yachts. There is a jetty in the background. Historical note: 'The M A Doran was was a 315-ton brigantine (a two masted sailing ship with square sails on the foremast and fore and aft sails on the main mast), first registered to the Port of Windsor, Nova Scotia, in 1875'.
