Description

Seen through a barbed wire fence is the two-storey New Lynn Hotel on Great North Road with two horse-drawn vehicles outside. The windows of the ground level feature rounded tops on the upper sash in the Italianate style together with similar rounded matching glass panels above the doors. A large lamp extends out above the entrance. In the right foreground is a rough-hewn log fence post.
