Description

Doris de Pont collaborated with poet Gregory O'Brien for her 2006 collection, Beausoleil. The Gin 338 skirt features words from one of his poems. Befitting a love of words, the collection has a tongue-in-cheek librarian feel – "perhaps a very stylish Japanese librarian". Each garment has been named using a mock Dewey Decimal Classification. Shapes may favour a "bookish shirt and tie" line, colourful fabrics in clashing combinations make it far from stuffy.
