Surrealist, André Brönnimann, of Wanganui won the Adam Portrait Award in 2016 with this portrait of three women wearing moko. Brönnimann has been a late comer to the art scene. He completed his first serious work for the Auckland Telecom art competition in 1995. He has since won a number of awards and competitions locally and nationally both for his surrealist work and his photo realistic work.
