Looking south across Victoria Street to the Hamilton Carnegie library on the left and the new Chief Post Office on the right. Other than the car in the centre, all of the vehicles in the photograph are of 1930s vintage. Note: the postcard publishers have incorrectly identified the building as the 'G.P.O.'. The 'G.P.O.' was in Wellington.
