This badge was produced for members of the New Zealand Milking Shorthorn Association, and features a red shorthorn cow standing in a sunlight paddock. English Shorthorns were the first introduced into New Zealand by the Reverend Samuel Marsden in 1814, for the use of missionaries living in the Bay of Islands.
