A basic timeline of the key events that lead to the mass measles vaccination of the eligible community in Samoa in response to a travel-introduced measles genotype D8 epidemic that originated from a New Zealand. The epidemic began with contact in August and was continuing, although declining and having passed a peak, in mid-December 2019.
