This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 18 August 1960 "This morning the Palmerston North Intermediate Normal School was a hive of industry and excitement preparing work and displays for the parents' day this afternoon. Above are Room 8 girls during their usual home science lesson with Mrs. P. Ross, their instructress, setting up the special party table complete with an iced cake."
