This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 10 May, 1963. "Work progressing on the new swimming baths at the Te Arakura School yesterday. Over £500 has been collected by parents and local residents towards the cost. In addition voluntary labour is keeping the cost down.
