Description

Stranded on the west coast of the Auckland province: the auxiliary schooner Albatross, high and dry near the mouth of the Marokopa River, 12 miles south of Kawhia Harbour. Built in Auckland in 1903, the Auckland Star reported that she was a total wreck (see below).
