Description

A cartoon by Louis Raemeakers depicting a nurse and hospital medics carrying wounded German soldiers who, along with British soldiers were patients on one of two British hospital steamers, the Donegal and the Lanfranc that were torpedoed by the German Navy on the 23 April 1917. The caption makes derogatory reference to the German concept of culture (kultur) as compared to civilisation.
