Description

HMS Britannia sinking after she was torpedoed by the enemy off the strait of Gibraltar two days before the signing of the Armistice. Listing heavily to port as she sinks off Gibralta on 9 November 1918, having been torpedoed by a German u-boat. There is no sign of any of the ship's crew aboard or in the water.
