Description

Out with the guns on the first day of the shooting season: pictures from South Auckland and Lake Ellesmere. Weather conditions were not satisfactory for the opening of the shooting season and poor bags were reported from the South Auckland areas. Similarly at Lake Ellesmere, Canterbury, the weather spoiled the sport and bags of duck were not large.
