In memory of a famous Maori leader: further pictures of ceremonies at Wairoa last Saturday. These two photographs were taken at the opening of the Taihoa Hall at Te Whi, also built as a memorial to Sir James Carroll. UPPER: Maori girls performing a dance of welcome as visitors assembled for the ceremony. LOWER: The gathering outside the hall
