Description

House at Taputaputa Bay, Cape Reinga. Stanus Jones established a homestead at Taputaputa in the 1870s, he was later joined in the venture by Sam Yates. The station comprised 56,000 acres and was carrying 4000 sheep and 2000 head of Hereford cattle. By this time the house was used as accommodation for station hands.
