As a way of entertaining, interacting, and showing solidarity with others during the Covid-19 lockdown many people chalked or painted the footpath or fence outside their homes. In some cases children drew hopscotch-style patterns for themselves and passer-bys to play on; in others, people left messages or decorative illustrations.
