- Description
The Māngere Health Centre on Access Road (pictured) behind Māngere Town Centre, was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister the Hon. R.J. Tizard on 28 September 1974. It was the second community health centre of its kind in New Zealand, and it was intended to provide for the development of a range of integrated health services. The health centre is currently bursting at its seams. The centre provides health services to 25,000 people and presently the five doctors are seeing 50 patients each a day
