Looking across from the Auckland Electric Tramways Company building at the right of lower Queen Street, across to the Waverley Hotel (at right) and entrance to the Auckland Railway Station (centre background). Showing crowds looking on as Sir John Logan Campbell (with white beard) officially starts the first electric tramcar in Auckland. November, 1902.
