Anzac Day 2020 fell during the Covid-19 Level 4 lockdown. This meant that the well-attended public activities traditionally undertaken to mark this event, such as the Dawn Service and street parades, were unable to occur. Instead, people chose to show their respect by silently standing outside their homes at dawn on Saturday April 25th, and through creating tributes, in the form of poppies or crosses, in front of their houses.
