- Description
Doug Baker on bulldozer, using a wire rope to roll the second rimu log up skids onto the logging truck. This method of loading was know as "par-buckling". These two logs were felled on Jock Anderson's property at the top of Busby Road. The long wooden beam linking the trailer wheels to the truck was shaped by hand by Wally Baker. The trailer wheels could be adjusted up or down this beam according to the length of the log being carried. Photo: Doug Baker
