This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 7 January, 1964. "At 7 a.m. today, Mr A. L. Hughes, the proprietor of the Watchpost jewellery shop on the top floor of the P.D.C., reported to the Palmerston North police that his shop had been broken into and a considerable amount of stock had been stolen.
