Teacher aides are finally getting what they're worth, having completed the long road to pay equity. A claim for equity was lodged in 2017, and on Wednesday teacher aides are waking up to a healthy backpay in their bank accounts, backdated to February. Teacher aide Ally Kemplen is in the staff room at Auckland's Newton Central School, where staff are celebrating. She speaks to Susie Ferguson.
