Description

Boy in black hat, jumper and Eton collar, sits in cart near pond at front of Punawai. Lad holds reins and stock whip. Just beyond the pond a track ascends the hill. that is Tainui St which, however, wasn't named until 1919. The road/thoroughfare was referred to by Hamilton Borough Council for some time as 'Maunder's Hill'.
