Looking south east along Anglesea Street. The photo is said to have been taken shortly after the completion of the cutting. The Hamilton Technical College, later Waikato Technical Institute and then Wintec, is on the right. The building on the extreme right is on the corner of Ward Street. On the left is Garden Place Hill.
