- Description
A letter from Joseph Tice Gellibrand (1826-1887) to Selina Gellibrand née Evans (1831-1878), his wife. It was written during Joseph Tice Gellibrand's trip to New Zealand in search of land to purchase for farming. The letter is dated 13 December 1874 and is addressed from Dunedin, placing it shortly after Gellibrand's arrival in New Zealand. Joseph Tice Gellibrand would later return to the country with Selina and their adopted daughter, Elizabeth. The family settled in Omokoroa.
