Description

Of all New Zealanders, it’s Pacific people who do the bulk of volunteering and unpaid work. But the term 'unpaid work' in Pasifika communities can sometimes be seen as offensive. “I wouldn’t even consider calling it being unpaid work. It’s been in our culture for many generations. Being a Samoan, we were taught when we were younger to serve our elders.”
