Description

Villagers at Tukao (Tukou?) on Manihiki, an atoll in in the northern group of the Cook Islands. Their houses are strung along a narrow street covered in coral sand. The New Zealand Parliamentary party arrived at 11am on 10 May and 1903. Their landing was rocky and they narrowly avoided capsizing on the reef.
