Looking north east from the south west corner of Civic Square showing premises on the east side of Queen Street including F Fielding, tobacconist, W H Bartlett, photographic studio, Barry and Beale, opticians, Sun and Yew, silk importers, the Continental Cafe, Fong Luan Brothers, B Crocker, bootmakers, R Jaffe, tailors and the National Bank of New Zealand on corner of Rutland Street and part of the Clarendon Hotel (extreme right)
