Description

Gisborne band Ka Hao has collaborated with renowned Maori artist Rob Ruha to produce '35' -  a new track which has soared to number one on Aotearoa's Hot 20 Singles chart. It's not alone atop a chart which is based on sales, streams and radio play. Four of the top five tunes are Te Reo Māori waiata. Indeed, Te Reo Māori releases chalked up 1.3 million streams last week, breaking all previous records. Recorded Music New Zealand Chart compiler Paul Kennedy spoke to Corin Dann.
