Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a common and debilitating condition, characterised by persistent inflammation of the sinonasal mucosa. Antibiotics comprise a substantial part of the medical management for CRS, although there is surprisingly little evidence to support their efficacy for this indication.
