- Description
The Te Puke Co-operative Dairy Company came into being in 1898, and the first factory was built in 1903. That factory was destroyed on March 12th, 1919 and a new one was approved to be built on May 16th of that same year. The contract was won by Mr. W. Marshall of Paeroa at the cost of £6,500. In the 10 years between 1950 and 1960, the factory was modernised and extended at a cost of £100,000
