View from the Ewen W Alison, the last vehicular ferry to sail from Devonport, the day the Auckland Harbour Bridge opened, showing a line of waving people stand on Victoria Wharf. The large wooden wharf piles can be seen (left to right) with water lapping against them. There is a large overhead wharf light (centre). The tower with the ramp is on the left. The Ewen W Alison sailed at 3 pm Saturday 30 May 1959.
