<b>The wettability of a surface is determined by two factors; the chemistry of the surface, which determines the inherent chemical hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity, and the physicality of the surface, whereby the surface roughness enhances and exaggerates the inherent hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity of the surface.
