Description

I am told these are known as Bastard Red Cod as opposed to actual Red Cod. Subspecies perhaps. Interestingly neither the fish eating Dog or Cat will touch the flesh. Any detail available on these soft skinned and soft fleshed fish. 600+ mm long Caught in only 17m they still were unable to adjust to the change of depth and suffered expansion trauma. Experienced fisherman say when you are catching these fish, fishing is poor.
