Description

Beige coloured ticket for the New Zealand Railways Roxburgh Branch Line. Issued on 24th April 1928. Font side has details of fare printed on with ticket 00001. Delays due to war meant that the line from Lawrence to Roxburgh was not completed until 1928 and was officially opened on the 18th April. Unfortunately due to limited passenger numbers the line became freight only just eight years later.
